Well it's about dayum time somebody held CPS accountable for their inaction.  I have always felt that the standard excuses of lack of resources, high turnover rate, no funding blah blah blah was just total bullpoop. This agency is supposed to protect children but all they do is perpetuate the abuse.  Why should someone who is abusing their child or child of a SO fear any action from CPS when it's common knowledge they will do absolutely nothing to you?  But....let an unsubstantiate case of abuse be reported and they're like a dog with a bone. Amazing how backwards this is.

This entire system is out of whack

I read both links, but didn't read all the stories from the second link.  I don't know if you are aware of this, but CPS receives federal money for every child they place in foster homes.  After 15 months, if the parent cannot get through the legal quicksand in time, the child is placed for adoption.  They also receive federal money for each child that is adopted.

Obviously, they didn't think that that little girl who was murdered, was adoption material.  I hope they're happy.  I hope they remember that little girl, and scores of others, while they yank kids out of homes because of spurious allegations.
